Code of Conduct

Radiant Shift Collective is a community rooted in trust, collective care, and liberation. By joining this space, you commit to upholding these values and ensuring that this remains a sacred space for all members.

1. Respect & Accountability

  • Treat all members with care, respect, and dignity.

  • Engage in discussions with openness, humility, and a willingness to learn.

  • Hold yourself accountable for your words and actions, and be receptive to feedback.

  • If harm occurs, approach conflict with a restorative mindset, prioritizing healing over defensiveness.

2. Confidentiality & Privacy

  • This space is sacred. Do not share the location of in-person gatherings with non-members.

  • The physical location of meetings (and/or virtual meeting invites) will be disclosed only after your application has been reviewed and approved.

  • Do not record, screenshot, or share conversations, member information, or any details of discussions without explicit consent.

  • If a member shares personal experiences, honor their trust by keeping it within the community.

3. Liberation-Centered Engagement

  • This is a space committed to justice for all oppressed peoples and ecosystems. We seek to build solidarity across movements dedicated to dismantling colonialism, systemic violence, and all forms of injustice.

  • We honor the liberation of all peoples—human and non-human—and stand against systems that perpetuate violence, inequality, and exploitation.

  • Members are expected to engage with an intersectional perspective that recognizes the interconnectedness of struggles for justice, freedom, and equality.

  • Discriminatory or harmful language and behavior—including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, fatphobia, classism, speciesism, Islamophobia, xenophobia, and all other forms of oppression—will not be tolerated.

4. Emotional Support & Holding Space

  • All feelings are welcome—big and small. Come as you are, and allow others to do the same.

  • Practice active listening. Do not interrupt, dismiss, or center yourself in someone else’s experience.

  • If you need support, ask. If you can hold space, offer.

5. Commitment to Collective Care

  • This is not a passive space—our strength lies in active participation. Show up, contribute, and engage meaningfully.

  • Take responsibility for your impact, not just your intent. If harm is called in, reflect, repair, and commit to doing better.

  • Prioritize community well-being over individual ego. We are here for the collective, not personal agendas.

6. Security & Safety

  • If you attend in person, you are responsible for keeping the location private and undisclosed to non-members. Violation of this will result in removal from the collective.

  • If you feel unsafe or witness harm, bring it to the attention of the collective in a way that prioritizes communal safety.

  • Harassment, intimidation, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

7. No Exploitation or Appropriation

  • Do not use this space for networking, personal promotion, or financial gain. This is a community, not a platform for self-interest.

  • Honor the origins of the knowledge shared here. Do not extract, commodify, or appropriate the wisdom of marginalized communities.

8. Dismantling Systems of Oppression

  • This is a space committed to dismantling all systems of oppression, including but not limited to white supremacy, racism, colonialism, patriarchy, and all forms of violence toward marginalized peoples, non-human animals, and the Earth.

  • We actively work to unlearn harmful behaviors and beliefs, holding ourselves accountable for perpetuating systems of harm.

  • We will not tolerate the defense or perpetuation of oppressive ideologies or discriminatory practices in this space.

9. Consequences of Violations

Violating this Code of Conduct may result in the following actions, depending on severity:

  • A private conversation to address and correct the behavior.

  • A collective discussion to navigate accountability and repair harm.

  • Removal from Radiant Shift Collective if the harm is severe, repeated, or goes unaddressed.
